The 47th “Nippon Club President’s Cup” Annual Baseball Tournament Final Result

  This year’s Nippon Club President Cup baseball tournament began with preliminary league play on Saturday, May 4, followed by the finals and closing ceremony on Saturday, June 29, at Randall’s Island Ballpark. The final game was the same card as last year, Kajima Building & Design Group (KBDG Mashers) vs. Deloitte LLP (Deloitte), and after a heated game, Deloitte won the championship this year. Also, two teams, Marubeni America Corporation (MAC Attack) and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), took third place. An awards ceremony and closing ceremony were held after the finals, where the various prizes were presented.

  This year’s tournament had a total of 15 teams, two more teams than last year, and was divided into four blocks for preliminary leagues and a final tournament, with fierce competition taking place at Randall’s Island Ballpark every weekend from May 4.

  We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all of our sponsors of the member companies for their support. We would also like to thank all the teams that participated and the members of the Nippon Club Baseball Club Committee for their cooperation in organizing the tournaments. This year’s baseball tournament came to a successful conclusion. We hope to have more teams to participate and make the tournament even more exciting next year.
