Mariko Dozono Jewelry & Paintings Exhibition
COLOR PASSION ELEGANCE
The Nippon Gallery is pleased to host “COLOR PASSION ELEGANCE”, an exhibition featuring Artistic Jewelry & Paintings by Mariko Dozono.
Mariko Dozono has been working as a jewelry designer in New York since arriving in the United States in 1971. Various jewelry industries have come recognize her delicate and elegant works, as she has collaborated with George Jansen (USA) and Gucci (USA / Canada). Then, she shifted her focus from mass production to private customers.
In addition to her works in jewelry design, she also works vigorously in painting, ranging from oil pastels overlaid with Kanazawa’s gold leaf, oil paintings, to collages composed of gold and silver threads.
“COLOR PASSION ELEGANCE” is what makes up Ms. Dozono’s art concept, her lifestyle, from the brilliant colors the pastel & gold leaves gather, oil paintings overflowing from the canvas full of passion to the delicate and elegant jewelry. Please come to see her paintings of ”Power and Hope” and her jewelry as “Wearable Art”.
