Nippon Club Hybrid Holiday Party 2021

The Nippon Club is pleased to present “Holiday Party 2021,” a hybrid event that will be held in-person on Wednesday, December 15, at the Nippon Club Tower, and streamed online from December 22-24. Please join us in-person or virtually for a night of top-notch entertainment with delicious food!

This year’s entertainments will be live performances by New York club jazz diva Monday Michiru and her quartet; and by Broadway singers Ryan Silverman, whose performance The New York Times noted as “standing in memory,” and Ali Ewoldt, who debuted in 2006 as Cosette in Les Miserables and played as Maria in West Side Story.

At the “in-person” event, you will be able to enjoy a luxurious buffet prepared by Chef Yasuoka with a selection of drinks such as sparkling wine. For the “virtual event,” you will be able to pick up the Nippon Club’s special lunch box to eat at home or in the office while enjoying the performance via live streaming. We will also have some great raffle prizes at the in-person event. We hope that our party will brighten up the holiday season even though COVID-19 continues as last year.

Since her solo album debut in 1991, Monday has released self-produced albums on an annual basis both as a soloist and collaborator, and is known as one of the pioneers of the Japanese acid jazz movement.
