Lucia di Lammermoor

Lucia di Lammermoor is a dramma tragico (tragic opera) in three acts by Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti. Salvadore Cammarano wrote the Italian-language libretto loosely based upon Sir Walter Scott’s 1819 historical novel The Bride of Lammermoor. The story concerns the emotionally fragile Lucy Ashton (Lucia) who is caught in a feud between her own family and that of the Ravenswoods.

Location: Rose Room on the 2nd floor of The Nippon Club
Participation fee: $30 per person (Nippon Club member) / $ 35 (Non-member) * 1 drink included

*Note: this event will be conducted in Japanese.
*The workshop is open to anyone with an interest in opera or “Lucia di Lammermoor,” not just participants in the viewing on the 6th. The workshop will be held at the Nippon Club building, and we will take all possible precautions to prevent infection.
