<EXHIBITION>Kayou Kitakomi Japanese Calligraphy Exhibition “IKIRU – Live in the moment, Treasure and focus on the now”

  • Kayo Kitakomi, a Japanese calligrapher, living in Kochi Prefecture, is based on the theme of “Living and Alive!” and vigorously holds solo and group exhibitions in Japan and overseas, as well as pursuing the possibilities of calligraphy through collaborations with other genres. In this New York exhibition, we will exhibit many calligraphies works on the theme of “living” while interweaving Sumi ink and Japanese culture, including “Hymns: Living,” a large-scale work created with the thought that “In this day and age, when we are in the Covid 19 disaster and seeing distant wars in real time, we cherish this moment and live with this moment.”
