This year’s G7 Summit will be held in Japan, which ranks lowest among participating countries in gender equality and does not recognize same-sex marriage. Consequently, there is a general feeling that Japan lags behind its peers in its understanding and promotion of diversity. Further, Japan ranks lowest among G7 countries in wages, labor productivity, and happiness. As a result, there’s a growing number of young people who want to leave Japan and work overseas. Please join our panelists – women who have lived in both Japan and America – as we consider together Japan’s contemporary social issues, what can be done to restore its appeal as a country, and what each of us can do as individuals to this end.

(*This event will be conducted in Japanese only.)

*We have reached capacity and are no longer accepting registrations for the event.
