The Nippon Club Children’s day Family Event

  • The Children’s Day Family Event will be held at The Nippon Club. There will be many booths like “Japanese hopping”, including Sushi Rolling, Yakisoba, Takoyaki, Yo-Yo, Face Painting, Shateki, and so on. In addition to these popular booths, there also will be entertainment and workshop on stage like Wadaiko, Magic, Dance and more. We are looking forward to seeing you at this joyful event!

    Performer:

    Clown ToTo
    Clown ToTo is a Japanese clown based in New York. He entertains people of any age with juggling, pantomime, balloon arts, etc. His performance can be seen mainly at parties and events. He also has won awards at clown competitions in the US and Malaysia.

    BIWANKO (TAIKO Performance)
    BIWANKO is the children’s TAIKO performing group formed in October, 2007 by a few families in Bergen County, New Jersey who shared the same interest as to pass Japanese culture and tradition to their children.

    Toshihiko Nakazawa (Dancer / Choreographer)
    Toshihiko Nakazawa has been performing as a dancer since the age of 18. He was born in Japan and took up dancing as a student at Daito Bunka University, where was a member of the modern dance club. In addition to his formal education in modern dance, he has also studied various forms of street dancing, including popping, locking, hip-hop, house, animation, break’in, and others. Toshihiko currently resides in New York and performs regularly as a contemporary and back-up dancer, as well as occasionally teaching dance. Toshihiko took first place in AMATEUR NIGHT at New York’s Apollo Theater in May 2013, and Apr 2014. He also made it to the Vegas audition of “So You Think You Can Dance,” currently America’s the most popular television show. His performance was broadcasted nationwide.
