The Nippon Club held its annual holiday party titled “Winter Holiday Showtime” on Thursday, December 21 at the Nippon Club Tower. The first half of the party started with a sumptuous buffet dinner prepared by Chef Yamada at the 7th floor gallery space.

After the meal, guests relaxed with dessert and coffee in the Sakura Room on the 5th floor and enjoyed live jazz music by the Michael Kanan Trio at the “Jazz Bar” setting on the 4th floor Bar & Grill.

The second half of the party was held in the Rose Room on the 2nd floor for entertainment. The emcees were Ms. Christina Maxwell and Mr. Masaaki Maeda, Vice President & Assistant Secretary.

President of the Nippon Club, Mr. Tetsuo Kawate (President & CEO, Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas)), gave the opening remarks.

The first performance was an opera sung by a young and talented soprano singer, Ms. Milena Manocchia. Her beautiful voice captivated the audience.

The piano accompaniment was by Ms. Philina Zhang.

The second performance was a magic show by magician Mr. Rich Kameda. The audience was thrilled by the magic show, which involved the audience.

The third performance was a piano performance by internationally acclaimed pianist Ms. Rieko Tsukada. The beautiful sound of the piano filled the venue.

The final performance was a joint concert by singer Ms. Christina Maxwell who also hosted the party, and pianist Ms. Rieko Tsukada. Ms. Christina sang Broadway numbers and holiday songs with her beautiful voice, which greatly enlivened the audience.

The last event of the night was a raffle drawing for several fantastic prizes provided by our sponsors. The little early Christmas presents were a great success, and the party came to an end, with all the guests smiling.
