The Nippon Club’s annual Autumn Music Event 2024 will be held on Monday, November 4. This year’s event, titled “Women in Jazz – A Spectacular Night of Jazz,” will feature jazz performances by Japanese female pianists based in New York City.

The first part of the event will feature a buffet dinner. Guests can also enjoy socializing with each other during dinner. The second half of the event will consist of two parts of a live jazz performance by female musicians.

The first part of the performance is from a concert series, “From Tokyo to Times Square,” which will start in November, and will honor Ms. Toshiko Akiyoshi, a jazz musician who has made great achievements as a pianist. The second part is the MSM Band from the Manhattan School of Music, which will present a youthful and innovative approach to jazz.
